We Could Have Had It All…

The way I nearly crashed the car when this came on the radio today. Jamie XX I salute you.

‘The scars of your love, remind me of us, they keep me thinking that we almost had it all…’

Alone – G FrSH feat Arrow

“First off I’m self-made, and thanks to that flour you can say that I’m self-raised & I’m my own boss, best know I’m self-paid. I never came to make a difference but I did it with my change”

Black Biscuit – Anonymous

I love this video. One consistent take of creative genius. And an emotive beat too. Dope.

Jessie J – Do It Like a Dude

I fell in love with this woman when I saw her perform live at I Luv Live back in January this year. Check the blog post offering her my heart way back then HERE.

So glad to to hear her name shouted out over a TUNE on Kiss 100 the other day. This is her newly released track, Do It Like a Dude:

Labrinth has done a great remix which is getting the most airplay at the moment but I prefer the feel of the original!

I CANNOT wait for the video!!!!

I am a CHAMPION!!!

Excited to see my friend Clement Marfo & (his band) The Frontline perform live for the first time we trundled down to Hoxton Bar & Kitchen and after a few hours wait (we arrived stupidly early) the back stage was packed out with eager fans and excitable women….always weird to realise your friends have actual FANS!

Their set blew me away. As a collective they are literally electric! Not knowing all the lyrics meant I was definitely in the minority but the CMTF stage presence is so personable I was dancing about with the rest of the crowd in no time.

My favourite track of the night was their fantastically energetic new single which I am totally in love with: CHAMPION!

Not only do I love the track’s positive wecandothis vibe, I love free running and the strength that shooting in black and white gives the video.

Champion is currently available for purchase on iTunes for a limited time. Click HERE to purchase and support the CMTF movement and the TALENT. 🙂

Black Batman – G FrSH

Black Batman is from G‘s current mixtape Legoman: Where’s My Brick? Which is available for free download HERE.

I am so proud of my FrSH family, they really are in a-whole-nother league.

This video is further proof that on all accounts, FrSH is the FUTURE.

Artist – G FrSH

Music Producer – Thy Maryan

Video Director- Jak FrSH

We stay FrSH.

Give me Pretty Wings

Maxwell – He is AH_MAZE_ZING live, the heart throb that he is, strumming my heart strings as he does…LOOK AT THAT FACE *SWOON*

Daley – Reppin’ the UK beautifully with an electrifying acoustic version…

Makes me reminisce about past conversations about my (in)visible pretty wing(s)… *insert passion-filled sigh here*

Clubbing For Haiti

I’m fresh outta surgery and calling out to my wonderful blog readers direct from my recovery bed…

If you live in or around London, don’t send me flowers / grapes / cards. There’s something much more practical you can do to wish me well…

I want you ALL to head down to The Den tomorrow night (Wednesday 20th January) to help Haiti.

Ctrl Alt Shift has partnered with Somenight and True Tiger to put on an unbelievable charitable music event to raise money for our Haitian family.

Hundreds of thousands desperately need our help following last week’s catastrophic Earthquake and its aftermath.

The line-up is any UK music lover’s DREAM; DJs, MCs, rappers, singers from many genres, signed and unsigned, uniting to do what they do best for Haiti.

Wiley, Tinie Tempah, JME, Heartless Crew, Sway, MJ Cole, Shy FX, Mz Bratt, The Thirst and more are confirmed.

All you need to do is go with as much money as you can afford to give and be musically blessed by UK’s finest!

All proceeds will fund Ctrl.Alt.Shift’s response to the desperate humanitarian situation in Haiti.

For the full out-of-this-world line-up and more details please click here: http://www.ctrlaltshift.co.uk/article/clubbing-haiti

* Date: Wednesday, 20th January
* Price: Minimum donation on the door £5 (you know you can afford to give a hella lot more- NJ)
* Time: 10pm-5am

If you are a guy and are able to volunteer your time on the night please e-mail sian@livity.co.uk

If you want to do more, you can ALSO donate directly to support Haiti here or here.

If like me you can’t make it (ABSOLUTELY GUTTED), you can still help!
Spread the word; share this link, e-mail everyone you know, use your free texts for a good cause, Tweet, Wastebook, phone calls, dare I say BBM?!

Updates on how much money has been raised and how the aid is being distributed will be available at www.ctrlaltshift.co.uk/haiti

We are one Human race. We are one family. Here in the UK we are so blessed, let’s show our love to our Haitian family in their time of need.

Love and Healing to Haiti.

I’m in LUV!

So even though I was absolutely mash up after five fantastic days (and nights) showing my Brazilian brother @JonathasBarreto the wonders of London town, I ended up down @iluvlive this evening, mainly due to me checking out Jessie J’s MySpace and falling in love *swoon*…

Think Maxwell, Dwele, Eric Roberson, D’Angelo (the best years) and Calvin Richardson. Then forget them all. Watch this, and TRY to imagine it’s beauty live, you won’t get the half, but it’s worth it for the half alone:

Women were CRYING. Really.

Check his MySpace for his original works and further blessing.

I found him backstage after his performance (that’s such a crap word) – can I call it a ‘soul-sermon-sung'(?) and got on my knees and bowed before him. (no blasphemy)

I don’t really know where to start. I became a fan today after seeing the Twitter hype about this beautiful lady and checking her out online. Her talent is outofthisworld. She is also damn sexay. Swagger of a true Princess. Aura of of a Queen…

As soon as I arrived I searched her out and tried a chirpsing ting. I failed to get the digits *sigh* but I think she got the jist…

I was there to see her!

She is already, deservedly, making international waves having written the ‘Party in the USA‘ smash that is sung by Miley Cyrus and gave us a cheeky exclusive rendition of the original version as she wrote it- ‘ESSEX PARTY’!

Here is my fav song outta the ones she blessed us with. It shows how cool she is too! Imagine it live (again, the half is worth the time) with a room full of music-loving Jessie-wanting singalongers. BLISS.

Check the Princess’ MySpace for more joy.

I had such a blessed evening I have personally e-mailed the organiser my thanks and appreciation. If you attended and wish to do the same hit up Racheal at Impact Ventures.

With UK talent like this getting recognised and moving up and out, no one can contest the fact that the UK music industry is standing up, standing tall and proud and making waves.

I am so excited for these guys and their bright futures. May they continue to shine their talent on us, warming our souls, and the souls of many more, for many years to come.

To get on guestlist for i luv live, which is on with a fresh new line-up every Monday at Proud Galleries, Camden, e-mail my sweetheart sian@livity.co.uk
